The Gift of Nature

This summer I have taken time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery. It has now been two years on our acreage and I continue to be delighted and surprised by nature’s offering…or my manifesting.

One of my favorite spots is sitting in a chair on my front veranda. This gives me a great view of my front yard flower bed. The other day I was admiring the beauty of the bright orange lilies right up against the brilliant yellow day lilies. I was thinking how great it would be to have deep red lilies in the bunch to add to the rainbow of colors. I wondered if red lilies even existed. Then, to my surprise I found a red lily blooming in another flower bed amongst the black eyed susans and yarrow . What? How did it get there? I certainly didn’t plant the bulb nor had I noticed it any other year. I’m not sure how that happens, but in manifesting they always say, “You don’t need to know how.” Thank you Universe.

Another one of my wishes this year was to plant some Saskatoon berry and raspberry bushes on our property. I love berries and we certainly have the space. But you know how time passes by and you don’t get around to buying the bushes and you think, maybe next year. Then, one evening my husband comes to get me and says he thinks he might have found some Saskatoon berries. We have an area of wild brush that we have never paid much attention to on our property. Right on the edge of the brush was a beautiful bush teaming with Saskatoon berries. As I ventured further into the grass, I found hundreds of Saskatoon berry bushes intermixed with the other trees that are there. I was beside myself. The bushes are thick with berries and I am so grateful we found them right at the time they were ripening. Ask for a tree and leave it to the Universe to give you an orchard.

If this wasn’t enough, one evening I was feeling restless and I kept getting the nudge to go for a walk. I wasn’t really keen on the idea because it was a rainy kind of day, but I put on my running shoes and got myself outside anyway. I was guided to go walking to a corner of our acreage where I have spent no time at all. In the tall grass, I found tons of raspberry bushes. They weren’t bearing much fruit, probably due to competing with the other plants and tall grass, but there are so many that it will be easy to transplant a number of them to an ideal location and start my raspberry patch. How cool is that?

One of the things I have been saying to myself and others this summer is that the Universe is making all my dreams come true. And it certainly seems to be so. What’s next I wonder? All I know is that there is always the possibility of a miracle and they will pop up when one is ready and willing to receive. I don’t know how the other dreams are going to happen, and I guess it’s best I don’t know. The Universe seems to make it easier on me that I ever would, just dropping bounty in my lap. Same is for us all, I believe.

I feel so blessed by the miracles that surround me everyday. I wish that your summer also provides you with the bounty your heart desires.
